Was teaching a pri.6 student. Came across this question and discussed it with my school mates.
Lily spent 3/8 of her money on centain number of pens and pencils(forgotten the actual number. She then spent the remaining 4/5 on 15 markers. Each pencil cost 2/3 of a pen. Each marker cause 20 cents more than a pen. Find the cost of each stationey.
We got the answer though but a clever smart ANDY fren of us thought of a more straight forward answer.....
Me: Reading out the question to my mates.
Andy: Easy lo!!!!!
Me: Really ah, you know how meh????
Andy: Know la, ASK THE SHOPKEEPER THE COST LO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
