GEMS tutorial 1

Although it’s a common place for interior or exterior shot, I still chose to take a shot of the esplanade, as I always thought that the structures are very magnificent. I applied the rule of third as I want to show the interior structure of the esplanade. The colour ambience of the night shot shows a soft but ‘spikey’ feeling of the place.

This is a picture of St Andrew’s cathedral near at raffles place. It’s a simple shot with the clear sky and the night dark sky being the negative background as I’m focusing on the cathedral only. The night shot gave a soft yet holy feeling for the place. I want it to be a simplied shot yet shows a magnificent side of the cathedral. I applied the rule of thirds for the shots.

2 self portrait of me links to fashion. I’m a fashion lover, be it dressing or make-ups, I just love the fashion that changes every season. Nice clothings just makes my day. I love colour combination and fashion labels and the 2 photos shows the “me”. The plain background for the 2nd shot can emphasize the object more clearly. I applied the rule of third for the shots.
